Happogahara
Happogahara extending over northwestern Yaita City is known for its colony of Renge-tsutsuji Azaleas, which blossom all at once from late May to June, dyeing the entire area in vermillion. This place commands a panoramic view of the Kanto Plain and Mt. Takahara, enabling visitors to fully enjoy natural magnificence.
Shojinzawa Spring
This spring gushing out from the hillside of Shaka-ga-dake at the foot of Mt. Takahara was chosen in 1985 by the then Environment Agency as one of Japan’s 100 best brands of spring water. With more than 10 spots gushing out water here, this place boasts an abundance of water and surpasses the other 99 places chosen for producing good-quality spring water in the amount of water production.
